Smith Lake Canoe Accident

I saw a small article in the Birmingham News that said that a UAH student named Michael Stutler with two other men turned over in a canoe Saturday night on Smith Lake. The two other men swam to safety but Michael is believed to have drowned. Has anyone heard anything about this? and what part of where on Smith Lake did this happen.

The apparent drowning happened about 10:30 PM Saturday night somewhere in the area near Lotawata Point (north of Yates Saw Mill Hollow) on the Walker County side of the Sipsey. The men were attempting to turn their canoe around when a strong gust of wind apparently capsized the vessel. Two other passengers in the boat swam to a nearby boat dock.
