Had a wild weekend at the lake. Friday afternoon, I was working on my dock and heard a ruckus in the yard. Looked up to see a turkey fly up into one of my pine trees. Rather unusual to see a turkey in the middle of the day, much less flying around. She stayed for a while, then flew across the cove. Guess she was just out for a cruise.

Saturday afternoon I caught a turtle while trying to catch fish. Now I know where all the bait has been going.

Saturday night a coon tried to steal my grill brush. Made it half way down the hill before giving up. Guess they were having a party and needed to clean the grill.

Sunday I'm having breakfast outside and a duck lands in a hole in the trunk of one of my large trees. Apparently setting up home there. I've seen squirels use the hole for years, but a duck? This one was interesting because there is no limb to land on and with no claws to hang on with, she had to hit the hole on the wing.

Life's good!

That was a wild life weekend...
BTW, I will tell the coons I don't need that grill brush any more..
Was going to trade a ball of foil for it.

Can’t compare to all those sightings but after reading post on hummingbirds last week, we put one feeder out and saw our first two Thursday. They were a hungry pair too.
