That first post didn't go so well. It should have read: Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement carpet/vinyl on the Dadeville side of the lake?

Here is my best guess... there are some assumptions that must be made here:
1. consider the "Dadeville side of the lake" to be that portion from Hwy 50 to Hwy 280 on the eastern shoreline 2. According to our page sponsor there are 743 miles of shoreline. I estimate the Dadeville side to be approx 1/3 of that shoreline or 247.67 miles (let's just use 250 for ease of calculations).
There are 5280 feet in a mile, that would mean there are 1,320,000 linear feet of shoreline (5280 x 250). If you were only going to floor from the water's edge back 1 foot you would have 1,742,400,000,000 sq ft (that's trillions by the way).
Since nobody only wants one foot of carpet or vinyl at the water's edge, it would really become a personal choice of how much of the lot to carpet/vinyl.
That may answer the second question...as to the first post...I live on the other side of the lake and don't have any suggestions.

you state: There are 5280 feet in a mile, that would mean there are 1,320,000 linear feet of shoreline (5280 x 250). If you were only going to floor from the water's edge back 1 foot you would have 1,742,400,000,000 sq ft (that's trillions by the way).
WHERE DID THE 1,742,400,000,000 sq ft COME FROM?

Sorry, Hubes, for the diversion. If you are talking upholstry, do a search and you will find some thoughts on it. I think the ones recommended are advertisers on LM site as well
