Hopefully we will get enough rain from Tropical Storm Lee statewide, that APC won't have any place to drain the water coming out of Smith Lake. Enjoy the increased water level while we have it.

Not sure what's really going on since I'm not there but the APC web site says above 503' right now and NWS says below 498'.

Which also shows it started dropping fast yesterday (Monday) from around 502', opposite of what I would expect after maybe 8 inches of rain. Didn't know they could let so much water go down the river, where it rained more, in such a short time.

I personally think APC does pretty good at what they do but do wish the lake wouldn't vary so much throughout the year.

APC does a good job at times but they really should try to keep the water levels more consistent from June 1st till after labor day every year. They just drop the waters to quick. I don't know of any other hydro plant that does this during these dates.
