Amazing how many college quarterbacks are proving themselves at their second or third school. As great as we consider various coaches to be at recruiting it is like almost no one who is developed in the college's "system" can be a high performing quarterback (fear, afraid of coaches, being status quo, I got beat out by a transfer last two years so I must not be good, etc). Rather, the quarterback who is a backup or problem at one place becomes a standout at another. And there are so many?? What gives?

I agree. I noticed that yesterday several major colleges had quarterbacks that had transferred from other colleges. It seems that many of the transfers are graduate students who have a year of eligibility left and have decided to try their luck elsewhere. The Ole Miss quarterback had been at Clemson and was released for conduct detrimental to the team and I think he had a "disorderly conduct" charge with law enforcement. I am an Alabama fan and I can't understand their quarterback situation. They have five quarterbacks on their roster and for some reason after spring training, summer conditioning, and fall practices, the coaching staff can't decide on a starting quarterback. Why have five quarterbacks if you are not capable of selecting a starter. The mere fact that a quarterback doesn't know if he is a starter until he goes on the field in the first game has to have an unsettling affect on his ego. Then after being the starter and winning his first two games, he is no longer the starter. For Coker to come in and almost pull out a miracalous comeback should leave Alabama coaches questioning their decision to pull him from the starting lineup.

So true...what a shame that we weren't able to get Russell Wilson for his last year of eligibility....CONGRATS, LNG, on your fine week of picking even going with the obligatory AU pick!
