    During the Battle of Waterloo the French captures a British Officer.

    "Why do you British wear a red coat," a French Officer asked, "when it makes you so conspicuous?"

    "So the sight of blood will not unnerve the men," he said.

    "Great idea', said the Frenchman.

    And that is the reason that to this day the French wear brown trousers.
