I have been under the weather the last few days and have been at home watching the hearing. I'm beginning to think there might be some real substance to the allegations of impeachment and that President Trump May indeed be putting his self interest before our country's security when it comes to Russia. What do you folks think?

About what I would expect from you based on your 6/11 post:
"A true Rorschach test for the deplorable trumpeters that participate on this site. Keep twisting yourselves into pretzels in order to continue to defend the undefensable. You will once again end up on the wrong side of history."

Dont forget this gem

"What do you folks think?"
I think you are stirring the pot, so to speak. So tell us, what factual nuggets have you gleaned from this tawdry display, which haven't already been in the public domain for the past several months, that would lead you to your conclusion? This proceeding is akin to a trial and these are opening statements, which are one-sided "arguments" given by partison advocates who have a vested interest in WINNING their case. You may want to tap the brakes a bit and listen to both sides and all of the EVIDENCE and arguments before you conclude that the POTUS is, in effect, a Russian agent. Thats what I think.

So watch the defense which will present what really was happening in the investigation of the Biden family no just in Ukraine but many other countries involving many other politicians. So sit back and watch the real show with the defense on Saturday (?).
your reputation precedes your post, lol!

I repeat....Then why not allow Bolton and Mulvaney to testify and prove the telephone conversation was perfect? How can a GOP Senator take an oath to uphold "impartial justice", refuse to hear any witnesses, and then defend their impartiality?
Too bad, the Right has no answer......

Well the short and obvious answer is their testimony is unnecessary and is an obvious delay tactic designed to keep the impeachment proceeding alive as long as possible. The "best evidence" of what was said on the call between Trump and Zelensky (i.e. the official transcript) is already available to them and everyone else. The democrats know that if they push for testimony from Bolton and Mulvaney, and convince the Senate to allow it, Trump and his legal team will (justifiably) assert executive privilege. This will result in protracted litigation likely to last for several months in a best case scenario thereby keeping the matter alive and in the publics mind during the election. It will likely take the SCOTUS to resolve it, which even under an expedited review process, will take several months at best.
And, as luck would have it, it also gives them a great talking point about what the Trump administration is "hiding" and attempting to "cover-up" while this matter percolates up through the the federal judiciary. On the other hand, if the Trump administration capitulates and allows them to testify, which is very unlikely, it will not end there. They will keep digging and digging in search of finding that Rosemary Woods moment. In a close election, this would be like playing with house money for the dems. Thus, this isn't some quixotic quest for the truth, and it doesnt really take a genius to figure that out.

Too bad the left did not bother to do their damn job in the house.
You want a do over because Pelosi was an idiot.
Two can play your game, why would Biden not want to have his say and prove that him wanting to get someone fired in Ukraine was above board and not to protect his sons paycheck which will now go to the stripper who did not abort his grandchild?
Did you hear that 2 of the renewals at the FISA court against Carter Page were unlawful? and that it should have ended earlier? and that Carter pages is about to probably be a wealty man when he has his day in court?

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fbi-says-monitoring-of-trump-campaign-adviser-carter-page-shouldve-ended-sooner/
But then again this was from the corrupt as hell Oblamer administration - what do you expect from a full of schift, demonkrap corrupt administration.
Care to defend your messiah and his administration?

Dont forget the other positive for the demonkraps is that it keeps ol Bernie tied up while Biden gets free reign to run his campaign. They get the added bonus of sidelining their very own Russian bot.

I'm a life long Democrat who voted for Obama twice and twice for Hillary Clinton in 2016, but after watching the impeachment hearings I have come to believe that Democrats are using impeachment as a political tool over policy differences, that the President clearly had a reasonable predicate to ask about Ukranian interference in the 2016 election and corruption with past administrations and that President Trump is making America Great Again and will continue to do so until the end of his second term. I say this with a heavy heart because I once believed Schiff and Nadler were great Americans and brilliant lawyers but that I was apparently wrong. Sincerely, MartiniMan /sarc
Whatever you are taking for your illness should be immediately discontinued. It has degraded your ability to think critically and foolishly believe we would fall for your post.

And I repeat, if their testimony was so important why were they not subpeoned during the inquiry? Sorry Goofy, but it's not the juries job to do the work of the prosecutor. If they were so important they should have been called by the House. And the more the House impeachment managers insult the jury, the less likely they will bother to call witnesses after the President's lawyers decimate what is already a lousy case.
My prediction. Senate will vote to acquit after they have answers to their questions. House will once again take up impeachment in the basement and waste several more months. The American people will become even more sick and tired of this process and will hopefully return the House majority to the GOP, strengthen the Senate majority and reelect Trump in a landlside.

Caught that one did ya? Heeheehee..... these leftists really do think we're dumb. That post is along the lines of Peelosi, et al trying to appear sad and somber while handing out their souvenir pens and scrambling over each other to get to the celebration party.
"It is with heavy heart that after hearing the lies told by the House managers and not anything from the defense that I must conclude Orange man bad! And because me, a totally impartial person with no political views whatsoever, I swear.... have come to this conclusion, everyone should ignore all they know, abandon facts, logic and reason and agree that Orange man bad." What a loon......
