Go to news on the top left and select Alabama headlines. It states the bill now goes to the Govenor. After reading the story you can log an account and help them cover the story. I fell everyone should know the truth. This bill passed because the majority do not like these boats. Not because they are unsafe, not because they cause bigger wakes than boats that are not banned, not because they are fast because bass boats are faster. But only because enough voters just damit don't like them.

I would say that's democracy....but I did not get a vote, although, I did send a E-mail to my Senator asking for some consideration for people's rights. Never got a reply. I don't have a big boat or houseboat but as I sent in my E-mail, I would like to be able to own one one day if I was able and so desired.

Here's a question that not enough of you are asking: "WHY don't more people like my big boat?"
If enough had asked that question sooner, and then tried to do something about it, maybe this never would have happened.

If we had known what was going on, we would have. I work close to the State House. Would have been there in a New York minute. I guess someone didn't want us to know what was going on till the last minute. Sound like fair play to YOU???? NOT!!!!!!!!!!

Don't ask "What could we have done to stop the legislation," ask "What could we have done in order to keep anyone from wanting this legislation?" And by "anyone" I don't mean certain developers, I mean ordinary lake people with no other stake in the matter, yet who are happy that this bill might actually pass. What could have been done to get them on your side long ago so that when this bill was introduced, they were fighting with you, not against you?
