Does anyone else have a problem with these little filies that build up around lights at you lake house? Even if I turn off the porch light and leave an inside light on, they still go crazy and force there way in. Is there a solution or something to keep down the number?

I would also be interested in this if someone has found a solution.

Pesky little things get inside and are dead by morning but still a mess to clean up and are outside areound any light on by the thousands it seems.

It's not a solution, but we use the old flypaper strips from the dollar store. We hang them around the porch at dusk & toss them the next morning. It may look tacky (no pun intended) but it does help... at least you don't have to clean up quite as many dead flies.

an old wives tale that i found to work was to hang a zip lock bag with water on the porch, it confuses the bugs and they think they are flying over a body of water.....ok it sounds stupid but it works (lol)

InJunjon...thanks for the support, if anyone wants an example of how WE should lve together and treat oneanother, theyshould interact with us on this forum...... God is STILL In Charge!!!

I've heard about the ziplock bag, so you say that it works? I'll try anything, so do it there a particular place that the bag should be in relation with the light?

about a fott from it...the light will reflect and make the bag look like a large body of water in the bugs eyesight....it sounds stupid but it works ....good luck
