Anyone ever seen a PWC with Nav. Lights?

It is legal, just wondering if anyone has ever seen one on the lake.

Most PWC's, if not all, can't be fitted with legal lights. The issue is that the bow and stern lights have a minimum distance they have to have from each other. I think it is 13 feet, but not certain.

I've been looking but can't find the regs for boats under 16 feet?
But if that is the regulation a pole that curves back and up would do the trick, I think it has to be 3.3 meters above the front lights. Don't know that I'd want to but what a rush, 60 MPH at night on a PWC!

Yes, I've seen it here and on other lakes although I personally wouldn't do it.

The legal requirements for the lights are that the red and green light must be visible from dead ahead to 112.5 degrees to the side. They also must be visible for at least one mile. The stern light must be at least 1 meter higher than the bow lights and visible for two miles.

Keep in mind that the stern light must be visible in all directions. Therefore it has to be the highest thing on the boat.

Hope that helps.
