Property near lake

I would like to say hello to everyone on the forum and I am glad to have found it. We are looking for property ( 2 to 5 acres ) around the lake. It does not have to be water front but within a half mile of a marina or ramp would be great. If there is no such place, as close to a lake access point as possible would be ideal. I would like information from the locals that know the lake and surrounding areas best. Those that are unbiased and not just trying to sell property to some unsuspecting country boy. Personal opinions on surrounding neighborhoods and schools would be great too.
