This article has a good summary of the options for health reform.

Leave to the NY Times (which should carry a disclaimer that what is in the paper may or may not be true) is appealing to a lame duck GOP congressman to cross party lines and support this Obamination called Obamacare. In a recent poll 69% of Americans said they should scrap Obamacare altogether or start over. We now know where the NY Times staff falls in that poll.

It is interesting only if you think Dems can conceive of any common sense reforms that don't involve a government takeover and special bribes to the unions. Sadly they don't have that in them and prove once again why they cannot be trusted with any responsibility.

If you watched the GOP meeting that Obama spoke at you would have noticed the little covered (by the government media anyway) the huge binder of proposed legislation that the GOP has proposed and that has been rejected without any consideration by the administration or the leadership in Congress. So when you hear him or others on the left say the GOP has no ideas you can call them a liar to their faces....because that's what they are.

The New York Times just cannot fail to be the New York Times!!!! They just can't help themselves!

-The following is taken from teh above subject article: "Liberated from an urgent need to satisfy constituents, donors and interest groups, largely freed from the shackles of party loyalty and spared attack by the opposition, retirees can vote as they please."

-LIBERATED FROM AN URGENT NEED TO SATISFY CONSTITUENTS..." That says it all. Apparantly teh constituents, i.e., the people who make and send these congressman to DC, are an unpleasent obstacle on teh road to socialism. These leftists just do not understand, or do not like the way teh Constitution has set up teh US government to work!!!!
