We saw 10-11 goats on the East side of the island in early July (by one of the small beaches).  Haven't seen any since, in spite of several passes around the island.

They were there Labor Day weekend.  They were at the end closest to the dam when I saw them.  There was a beached boat and people on the island.

I saw  them on Labor Day weekend too.  Peeople were there feeding them.  6-8 probably.  At dam end pf island...They may have come for the weekend and then back to school....lol

There has been a report of someone shooting them removing the goats.Two months ago a family was drifting and watching the goats.About 200 yards away a man pulls up,takes a rifle and shoots a goat,retrieves it then pulls away.

They could not get identification.

Why are these goats replaced time after time if dogs attack them or people shoot them?  Talk about animal cruelty!
