I have contacted several "contractors" in the last few days for a quote on a new porch and deck.  So far NONE have returned calls so I am lookig for names and numbers of folks that will.  I know they are busy, but damn, returning a phone call doesn't take all day.

You have my sympathies.  People get mad when I have brought this up in various places on social media, but trying to get anything done is a challenge.  I've had people actually come out, promise me an estimate and then disappear, never to be heard from again.  And the labor shortage hasn't made it any better.
