My guess is there is a fire.......sorry for the smart a$$ comment but I couldn't resist. :-)  What part of the lake are you on?  We have fairly frequent fires in Sandy Creek when there's a thunderstorm or someone is camping and starts one.  May be someone burning brush...hopefully not trash.
