Just received an email that explained some of the confusion about Obama. Seems Dave and Barbara Mikkelson, from San Francisco own snopes.com and are flaming liberals and major supporters of O-BAMA. Not only have they been major contributors, but they have used their website to disclaim many of the Obama stories that are really true. Interesting little tidbit.

That is a scary email. I never received an email that is a lie or a myth that is passed around.
I suggest you not believe everything you read. That email just keeps going around and around. The fact is they have NOT donated to either party. Donations are public information and you need to ask the sender to tell you where they obtained the info on the donations. I think you will find SNOPES is quite accurate in their postings. Are they 100%?? I suspect the answer to that is NO.

That might make some sense, if snopes.com didn't reference all of their explanations. Snopes doesn't just tell you the answers, it tells you where to find them.

And they're not the only fact-finding site out there. It always helps to check our urbanlegends.com and, for political questions, factfinder.org.

However, if you insist on calling snopes.com into question, the you must also question these statements that I found on the site:

"John McCain declared during a 60 Minutes interview that he was a "war criminal" who "bombed innocnet women and children." Snopes says this is FALSE; I guess, since you don't believe snopes, you must think that McCain is a war criminal?

Another example of someone believing whatever they are told via email, rather than taking a few minutes to do some digging and learn the truth for themselves.
