Here is a prime example of the lies and mean spirited nature of the left in Congress. This makes allegations of death panels seem mild in comparison. I wonder why what Joe Wilson said which was the truth justified an apology but this doesn't?!?!? I am used to the hypocrisy of the left but this one raises it to a new level.

Jerks on both sides of the aisle.
I think this health care issue has proved that Congress can't really handle anything important. They've turned the whole thing into a kabal of partisan politics. I'm in favor of cleaning house.
And when these guys make these pronouncements - I can't help but think they are doing it because they know it will get them media attention.

I defy you to find one Republican that went on the floor of the House and held up posters saying Dems want you to die soon. The GOP's concern has been for the health of the public and they believe government control will do to us what it has done to other countries, lead to rationing. Fortunately the American people understand this as support is at an all time low. Unfortunately, the Dem leadership and the Messiah don't give a crap.

that none have ever accused the President on the floor of the House as having a plan that says die soon. They simply yell out the truth that he was lying when in fact it has been documented with 100% certainty that he was lying. And while it was the wrong thing to say at the wrong time it was the truth and he apologized and other Republicans took him to task for it because they have class. No Dem will disavow what this guy says, nor will he apologize because they have no class.

Even more reason to have a split gov't..........unreasonable to think you can clean house..........but reasonable to think we should elect enough R's to at least control half of congress......so the turkeys can't pass anything except non-binding resolutions..........

I am not going to defend what he said but yelling out during a joint session while the president is speaking is quite different than a speech on the floor of the house. To equate the two is typical conservative gotcha politics. Give me a break as you can do better.

I finally got to see the clip of this --- I don't know what these guys are thinking about - or how they think these kinds of pronouncements are helping clarify anything.
He should apologize -- they all should apologize -- and then they should shut up and get busy.
I suspect that you are going to see a more balanced Congress after the elections.

are part of the party of excuses. Accomplish nothing, be critical of opposing views, point fingers at things the party does every day and then try to justify it rather than admitting when you are wrong.

GF, I disagree that telling the truth in the wrong way and at the wrong time is worse than telling a lie at any time. But then again, I am bound by Judeo-Christian values that bearing false witness is a mortal sin. It seems that a good many liberals like this congressman are apparently not bound by those mores, at least not in this life....
Neither was good but only one apologized. The other apologized to "all the dead people for the holocaust", presumably at the hands of those evil Republicans. At least Hound had the courage to condemn the guy rather than seeking some sort of moral equivalency.

Only the Right has strong Judeo Christian moral values!!! It was acceptable for Conservatives to lie that the House bill advocated "Death Panels". Here is his latest quote:
"These are foot-dragging, knuckle-dragging Neanderthals who think they can dictate policy to America by being stubborn. And I think the time is over. We had an election. That's it. Now we have to move ahead in just the way the president wants us to."
