Has anyone heard of or used Sanford Builders out of Alex city? They built a boathouse for some folks near me .

Yes. Ronnie Sanford is the unofficial mayor of    Big    Beach.  Have not personally used him,  it reputation is good.  He stays real busy so that is a good sign.
