Often wonder why SNL portrays Eric as a fool. Now we know...

One only has to look at the flu season in 2009 to understand exactly what his point is....but that would take critical thinking skills.

I think you know that he didn't literally mean go away. Most folks don't judge someone's intelligence from an SNL skit.
