Really do not want to use Round Up in the lake bed or rip rap sea wall so have been researching organic herbicides and have found the following formula based on a combination of recipes, as anyone ever used such or anything similar?

- One Gallon White Vinegar
- One Quart Lemon Juice
- One Cup Salt
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons Liquid Dish Detergent

Dissolve salt in hot water, so not to clog sprayer

Warnings I have seen stated is if salt is used the soil in which the herbicide comes in contact will not be able to be used for plantings for up to 2 years. So be careful on how you use use this herbicide.

An old WWII flamethrower would do the trick in my slough...And no environmental damage (except to a few homes and docks and boats left on the lakebed)...I think I'm going to go into the impeller cleaning business...exclusively...can probably pay off my house cleaning grass and weeds out of boat and sea-doo impellers next spring and summer (or whenever the lake comes back...if it's in my lifetime)

Can I borrow the goats from goat island? Can the cows from neighboring pastures eat this stuff? Or do we need Russell / APCO approval ? LOL

Will that stuff kill the kudzu that keeps cropping up on my beach?

Round up gets a bad rap just because it works really well. I believe you can actually plant vegetables where you spray after a week or two. Very little residual effects.

Just spray it and be done. It's not Lake Martin, CA.......
