I hope the Corp will maintain safe and enjoyable lake levels for the summer... Maybe our docks will float!

Here we are at the end of summer and my dock never got wet this year, was really hoping to get it float too! Also had to resuce my pontoon several times due to the sudden drops as well. Thanks corps! :/

I wish someone could explain how we got 5" of rain in one day and the lake did not rise. It seems as if the corps of engineers is intentionally keeping the lake down.

It is ridiculous that we have had the rains from Irma,  and still the lake is low!!  I think if your dock doesn't float then you do not need to pay for a permit,  matter of fact the should refund it until they learn how to manage proper levels..  Also,  I say let Georgia Power manage it instead of the government....

Well that would imply that someone is taking responsiblity for the lake level, well sir, we can't have none of that! LOL

Side note, water seems to be rising, still hasn't made full pool, hope to get my dock in enough to chase the water this year.

People seem to forget that the dam was built as an electricity generating lak/dam. The 1st prority from this lake is the generation of electricity. Fishing and recreation come after that. No where does it say that the corp has to maintain a full pool for any benefits of fishing, boating, docks, etc.

I don't like it either, but, I don't let it get to me.

Totally again with ya, but a little notice to the people would go a long way.

Why would we complain since the lake is over 5 feet higher than last season? I say someone listened or it would be lower than last season since we have had less rain. I can hardly wait to get out there.
