Anyone know what caused the removal of the rope swing in Manoy Creek. Went by to use it and the tree was cut down, lying in the water. Hope there was not a tragic motivation - it was a good swing.

Was it on Alabama Power property? That happened a while back (last spring or the summer before) with the one near the dam....I think they considered it a liability.

There are 2 in the Manoy creek area. One faces big water the other is in a slew just around the point from the other. Which is gone?

It does appear from the Tallapoosa County on-line maps that the property where the Manoy Creek swings are (were) located is Alabama Power Company land.
