ADEM?
LMRA?
Lake Watch?
Alabama Water Watch?
Lake Martin HOBOs?
Alabama Rivers Alliance seems to have no Lake Martin connection. Is that true? https://alabamarivers.org/our-partners/
I'm always worrying about the water quality of our beautiful lake. I'd like to support the organization(s) which is/are helping us the most.

Lake Watch has one mission...water quality on Lake Martin. Alabama Rivers deals only with flowing streams and rivers, not lakes. Lake Martin HOBOs was founded by Lake Watch members, so I’m sure they are involved also.

A very accurate summary of both organizations. I am a proud member of both, and a charter member of HOBO'S.

Hello 39KC,
I just saw your post. I've been involved with Lake Watch of Lake Martin for many years, and currently have the privilige of serving as Lake Watch president. Lake Watch has been working to protect Lake Martin and its watershed for the past three decades. Volunteer water monitors routinely conduct water chemistry and bacteriological tests throughout the lake, on the Tallapoosa River, and on tributary streams that empty into the lake. Water quality issues are investigated and Lake Watch works with local and state officials to resolve issues. Lake Watch also conducts environmental education programs to promote lake protection, clean water and watershed stewardship. Our group has also been active over the years to advocate for clean water policy at the local and state level. We work closely and collaboratively with other lake groups including Lake Martin HOBO and LMRA, as well as ADEM and ARA, in our lake and watershed protection efforts. You can learn more about Lake Watch, its programs and its accomplishments at our website, http://www.lakewatch.org/
