The low lake levels have revealed some old tires in the lake bed near our house. Is there anywhere around the lake where I can take them to be recycled?

Thanks

I have notice some around my cabin too. They are standing upright, in a row. I believe people put them out for fish habitat.

Lake Martin Living is sponsoring a clean-up on January 12th (you may want to confirm the date). I pulled 13 tires off my shoreline this weekend and they said they will take them. I don't yet know the locations of dumpsters to provide that to you.

I notice quite a few of my neighbors here have them too. Good time to clean up the mess

Dumpsters will be at Sinclair's at Kowaliga. Another location will be either at Pleasure Point Marina or Blue Creek Marina. (details still being finalized.) Collection dates where dumpsters will be available will be as early as Jan. 9 and remain open as late as Jan. 14. I would target Jan. 11-13 if you want to be sure that the dumpsters will be there as the exact dates are still being finalized or call Lake Martin Living for more information. All proceeds from recycled metal, tires, ect. will be donated to Children's Harbor. This is a GREAT opportunity to clean out the lake and get Lake Martin ranked higher on the Southeast's cleanest lake list!!! Contact everyone you know to make Lake Martin even more beautiful.
