Finally, someone with a cogent hypothesis as to how we have gotten to this economic mess we're in.........with some blame assigned all around. What are your thoughts?

"blame the Democrats" piece. I conclude that the American Thinker only thinks along Republican lines.

It wasn't required reading..........however, did you miss the part that blamed Paulson, Bush, etc?

Or did you miss some of the critical analyses provided by the NY Times and the Village Voice? I've noticed that some democrat partisans are like the Atlanta Journal cartoonist Mike Luckovich, ever since the D's control the WH and both houses of the Congress his ink pen has been neutered from any sharpe political attack! Do you think there have been any scandals to pursue, or funny stuff to cartoon? Nah.......he does one on Michael Steele.....sorry to see his pen go limp.

No, I didn't miss the part where he blamed Paulson, but in my mind he only damned Bush with faint criticism. I guess Paulson is the sacrifical lamb of the Bush Administration. It amazes me that not too much is being blamed on Alan Greenspan who worked with a bunch of faulty assumptions and thought the markets would self regulate. He's laying low. You'd think he'd be on the media circuit as a talking head.
I've actually seen some pretty good political cartoons on the economy. I still think the best analysis of the economic situation was the article in Vanity Fair a couple of months ago. Now, Vanity Fair really tends to lean to the left, but I thought that particular article was not blaming a particular party but a statement of events.

A. Greenspan has nothing to worry about.........he's protected from the media by his wife Andrea Mitchell.
