Has anyone else received a refund check from GFL Trash Service for an amount greater than a years worth of services paid?  Just thought I'd ask here before calling GFL and getting put on hold. The only explanation on the stub said it was TRUX REFUND:UK172 dated 4/11/2023.

GFL in Cossa County sold out to another outfit that has taken over.  Mybe they didn't sell, but the county kickedthem out for a lower bid, but either way GFL is not your trash company any longer.  The new company contact info is out there and apparently you have to contact them to get trash service started.  So I can't remember the name of the new company. and tried a quick search but got no hits.

Bruce it sounds like you pay annually instead of quaterly, LnG got $20 so he must pay quarterly and that is what he had left.  Bottom line is contact soneone with the county and they can give you contact info.  It is piss poor marketing if the new company hasn't sent out notices yet, buthey, they have a captive audience, what do they care aobut customer service.

The new company is 121Disposal.com.  Word is the old company would not provide a customer list, which if fired, I guess is understandable.  Here are some numbers.  and there is a signup form on the website

I got a check for a little over $20.  

So far, I'm happy with the new company.  Even the first week I signed up, they had someone out here picking up the trash.  It was a big relief since GFL had abandoned us and we had 2 weeks worth of trash piling up.

It is piss poor of the garbage company, but it is Double Piss Poor for the COUNTY to just speak to the garbage company and NEVER SAY A WORD TO TAXPAYERS?? That is Poor Indeed..

I would not have known that GFL had been fired if I hadn't posted on a Lake Martin FB page asking if anyone else wasn't getting their trash picked up off the Coosa 20 corridor.  Someone posted to me that GFL was out and I would have to call the County about the new company.  They posted it on their Website page but really, how often doesn't anyone look at the Coosa County webpage.  I would have thought the least they could do was to send a notice out to the property owners.
