Wondering what the striper fishing is like in the fall. My bother and his wife want to visit and do a guided trip while here.

Fall fishing around the Kowaliga area can be some of the best of the year. When the lake starts to cool and "turnover", schools of stripes feed heavily after being somewhat dormant during the hottest weather. However, at some point, usually in October, they will scatter and head back north toward the Tallapoossa.

From the middle of November till Jan. Its never better, you just have to fish the windest days preferably wind from north. swim baits just under surface. Somedays bow of the boat would go under waves that is when its best!!

When you say "swim baits" are you referring to the artificial swim baits or live bait?
