I've heard nothing about fresh tomatoes and other produce from your lake gardens. What's up? Did you not plant gardens this year?

Nice! Lots of tomatoes arouind here started well. They loaded down with green tomatoes. And then all the

leaves fell off and the tomatoes rotted. Glad yours are doing well.

Been a tough year to keep tomato plants alive.  The heat has been unbearable, with temps in the 90s for over 35 days. I have a second batch of maters coming along at my Mom's house, but the sun is cooking them

Couldn't get a squash or tomato to produce save a few nice Purple Cherokees'.

Have talked to several folks who had squash failures this summer.  How 'bout ya'll?

Will put in a fall garden today and try again.

Slice really green ones about 1/2 inch thick. Douse with olive oil. Salt and pepper. Wait 30 minutes.

Slide them onto a hot grill for about 2 minutes. Flip. Another 2 minutes. Off. Eat. Maybe with a spicy aole sauce? Or grilled shrimp?
