Catfish grow to some pretty impressive sizes, as measured after they are caught/trapped or otherwise brought up to the surface.
Other fish, also get pretty big.
What is the largest fish you have personally seen while diving in Lake Martin??
What kind and estimated weight?

I have see 40+ pound stripers caught in Lake Martin. But, I never have encountered them while diving. Most of the time when I see a catfish it is resting up against a stummp or other object. Experienced a striper feeding freenzy once and some big ones swam past us at a high rate of speed, darting all around us. No idea how much they would weigh. Haven't encountered any "monsters" yet though. Did see a salamander at 90 feet once.

I was just curious. I have always heard "talk" of huge catfish spotted by divers, especially around the pilings of the Kowaliga Bridge. Maybe a war tale, huh?
